I have enjoyed learning with many different yoga teachers of Iyengar, Ashtanga, and Viniyoga traditions - developing my own practice for over two decades. I studied with Amelia Moore (a student of Annie Carpenter) for my 200-hour training in 2014, and completed my 500-hour training with Robin Rothenberg (a student of Gary Kraftsow) in 2017. And in 2022, I completed my final hours of supervised clinical work with Essential Yoga Therapy to receive my yoga therapist certification through the International Association of Yoga Therapy.
For a preview of additional teachings that inform my own teaching style, check out The Heart of Yoga by T.K.V. Desikachar and Your Body, Your Yoga by Bernie Clark. You’ll also find my teaching style is influenced by Jivana Heyman, author of Accessible Yoga, and Dianne Bondy, author of Yoga Where You Are and Yoga for Everyone.
In 2020, after five years of teaching mixed-level yoga classes at my favorite local studio, I made the transition from studio yoga teacher to opening a private practice offering therapeutic yoga. I now only offer private sessions, and small group classes or retreats that focus on teaching people ways yoga can help relieve chronic pain, stress, and fatigue.
I aim to provide a holistic experience to benefit not just your muscular-skeletal system, but also your nervous system and psycho-emotional health as well, for a fuller mind-body-spirit experience. This is because I believe viewing our health and wellbeing through a biopsychosocial lens is the key to our wellness.
I look forward to helping you get the most out of your time on the mat and meditation cushion.

Becoming a Yoga Therapist
A yoga therapist is part wellness coach + part functional movement specialist + part mindfulness and meditation teacher + part accountability partner + part cheerleader all rolled into one. And this is how I became one... accidentally.
My Story: from hot mess to zen mama
Who am I?
Just a girl from the Pacific Northwest who loves to help folks that could benefit from yoga create personalized practices, so that yoga actually works for them. This is how I got here.
How Yoga Heals
For me, yoga is a lot like duct tape: it may not fix everything, but it sure comes in handy for most of life’s challenges. This is how I leaned into yoga to improve insomnia, relieve chronic hip and back pain, and help manage a severe anxiety disorder and depression.
